What is ISO/FDIS 14001?
ISO/FDIS 14001 is the Final Draft International Standard for environmental management systems (EMS), currently in the approval phase – meaning the final text is submitted to ISO members worldwide for voting. Expected to replace ISO 14001:2015 in the second quarter of 2026, this new edition provides clearer guidance while maintaining the same trusted requirements. The result is easier navigation and stronger alignment with today’s environmental priorities such as climate change, biodiversity and resource efficiency.
